What you're buying
Rereader is a macOS application sold as a one-time purchase. Paying the purchase price grants you a personal, non-transferable license to install and use the app on Macs you own or control. It is a license to use the software, not a transfer of its ownership or copyright.
Rereader for iPhone is a free companion app distributed through the App Store under Apple's standard terms. It requires the Mac app and syncs through your own iCloud account; the Mac license above is what you are purchasing.
Delivery
After purchase you receive a download link by email. Links expire after 7 days for security; reply to your purchase email any time and we'll send a fresh one at no charge. Keep your purchase email — it is your proof of purchase.
Refunds
7 days, no questions. Reply to your purchase email within 7 days of buying and we'll refund the full purchase price. After a refund, your license ends and you should delete the app; anything you exported from your own library remains yours, since it was always yours.
What you may not do
- Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the app or its source.
- Represent the software as your own work.
Your copy includes the source code so you can read and modify what you bought for your own use. Modifications are at your own risk.
Updates and support
Bug-fix updates for the current major version are included and delivered as new downloads. Support is by email at [email protected], answered by the developer. We may release paid major upgrades in the future; you'll never be charged automatically for anything.
Warranty and liability
Rereader is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the software or these terms is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law in your place of residence grants you and does not allow to be limited.
Third parties
Payments are processed by Stripe; delivery emails are sent via Resend; downloads are served by Cloudflare. Their terms govern their services. Amazon, Kindle, and Readwise are trademarks of their respective owners; Rereader is independent software and is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
Changes
If these terms change, the date above changes, and material changes will be noted on this page. Continued use after a change means acceptance of the updated terms.
